This is a unique denim inspired by the traditional Japanese pattern "Amegasuri" (Rain Kasuri). This fabric showcases the beauty and depth of Japanese culture by incorporating kasuri yarn for the warp, creating a mesmerizing pattern of irregular, broken straight lines that resemble falling rain. The result is a fabric that radiates a haunting beauty and handmade warmth.

This original 14oz denim is crafted with thick slub yarns, enhancing the vividness of the rain-kasuri pattern. The tapered fit and moderate hem width make it an ideal choice for pairing with boots or sneakers, offering a sophisticated fusion of Japanese tradition and modern style.

It's a tribute to the rich heritage of Japanese indigo-dyed fabrics and the enduring art of kasuri stitching. This distinctive fabric captures the essence of falling raindrops, connecting wearers to the natural elements and rural landscapes of Japan. The warm and rustic texture of the fabric evokes the beauty and tradition of Japanese craftsmanship, inviting you to experience the elegance and cultural significance of Amegasuri in every piece.

These jeans include all the high-quality Studio D'Artisan details, such as custom copper buttons, premium herringbone pocket bags, and a thick cowhide leather patch. Studio D'Artisan stitched the leather patch after the tempi treatment, a costly step requiring the jeans to return to the sewing workshop after the initial wash, to achieve the best possible look.

Fit Notes: As many other SDA Jeans, the Tokushima D1866 runs slightly small. In general, we recommend choosing one size larger than your usual. However, as always, we recommend checking the size chart first to find your perfect size. It is unsanforized but one washed, so there will be no shrinkage.
